This Dehydration Asthma testimonial is about how the Water Cures protocol along with a slight adjustment in the salt intake gave Semisi his breath back and ended his asthma.
My name is Semisi Tukuafu, out of Utah. I am a Licensed Massage Therapist and have been going through asthmatic symptoms for awhile, from mild to severe.
One evening in prayer, I asked for help in understanding what the heck to do. At the time, I also was undergoing the beginning symptoms of gout which I have had before. During the night the answer came to me, do a web search on "dehydration, asthma". Throughout the night, I didn't sleep well, because I kept trying to remember the terms that I was to do the web search on in the morning.
Well, in the morning when I did so, I found Dr. B's info. and your website. I have been at it for a few weeks now, with marginal success, until I discovered I was not taking enough salt! Since I have made the adjustment, I already feel better and can BREATHE better!!!
Years ago (because of similar issues with breathing), the answer that came to me that was fairly clear, which was: "Study the connection between Salt & Famine".Part of my recent re-evaluation of whether I was following the instructions adequately of the Water Cures involved the web search on "Lack of Salt, Famine." Doing the search resulted in finding the following article: Salt Starvation in British India That was the catalyst that prompted me to relook at whether I was following the salt part of the cure enough. Anyway, thank you, thank you, thank you, and God bless you! Sincerely & Aloha, Semisi.
Asthma Dehydration Notes
Mild dehydration: a risk factor of broncho-pulmonary disorders? was considered in 2003 in the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition. While it pointed to the necessity of hydration, it did not find studies that showed conclusively that hydration plays a role in ending asthma symptoms. In the absence of high level studies and especially those looking at unprocessed salt with the up to 80 minerals, we have to hold to our many testimonials. They all say that there is an asthma and salt connection. More accurately, there is an asthma and water cures connection.
Additionally, I ended my own asthma, long before the Water Cures was rediscovered, using the very same principles. This happened before the drugs that have helped so many even existed.

It is amazing how so many things that are new to us were common knowledge in the past. One basic practice of the Water Cures protocol is to drink at least 30-45 minutes before and 2 1/2 hours after a meal. This is not a new thought however. Notice what a magazine from 1925 had to say...
"Drink plenty of water two hours after each meal; drink none just before eating; and a small quantity if any at meal time. Do not take a bath until two hours after eating a meal, nor closer than one hour before eating. Drink a full glass of water both before and after the bath." (Golden Age, Sept. 9, 1925, pp. 784-785)

Hi, my name is Sharon. The webmaster of this site is my nurse, my personal water coach and my husband.
As this site was first being built, I had a headache and as usual took an Ibuprofen. Impatient for it to start working, I decided to try the Water Cures. I took a pinch of salt and a glass of water. Then I took a second pinch of salt and another glass of water. My headache was gone in less than 5 minutes.
From my personal experience, it usually takes 30 to 45 minutes for Ibuprofen to work. Some have found it takes ibuprofen 24 minutes to start working.
Yet on the Water Cures protocol, my headache was gone in 5 minutes.
Its simple: give your body what it needs and your body will give you what you need, the ability to feel great.
Water Cures was the solution for the elimination of my headache. It is what I will use from now on.
Why not give it a try yourself.
