...you are under a physicians care
Are you being cared for by a doctor or are you on medication or have kidney disease. Talk to your physician first.
...you urinate less than 3 times a day?
Do you go to the urinate less than three times a day? You should check with your doctor first.
... you have kidney disease?
Do you have kidney disease, please do not use the water cure protocol with out first consulting your physician.
If you have a kidney disease or have received an organ transplant, the water cure is not for you.
This is the formula discovered and directed by Dr. B. Many feel that this truly is a cure for edema. You be the judge. We have personally seen it work as an effective treatment for edema.
You will have to do this at home, preferably on your day off as it will require several trips to the bathroom throughout the day.
Get two measuring containers. One for measuring how much you pee and one for measuring an equal amount of water you will be drinking.
Measure or take note of how bad the swelling is. You might want to have someone take pictures for you. Note if it is pitting edema or non-pitting.Measure how far up your leg you are taking a measurement and then measure the circumference of your leg or foot. This will provide you an exact measurement. Overall, if it goes away, you will notice it.
Start by drinking 10% of your body weight each time you drink. Drink 30-45 min before eating and 2 hours after eating. If drinking this much water is new to you, Dr B suggests starting out slowly with both raw salt and water.
Measure out 1/8th tsp of unprocessed salt for each 16 ounces of water you will be drinking. You can approximate it. The literature suggests that if you have been on the water cures protocol for some time, you may want or even need more salt.
Place the salt on the end of your tongue and let it dissolve. Once most of it is dissolved in your mouth, you can then drink the water. It has been suggested to drink the water all at once. Do not nurse the water. At the least, drink the water over a few minutes time.
Once the water is down, you will have about a 2 hour period where the water and salt will be both nourishing with minerals and bathing your cells with water. This is getting your body ready for diuresis or the elimination of excess water.
When you first go to pee, make sure and measure how much comes out. Take note of the measurement and then, in the second measuring container, fill with the same amount of water plus 2 ounces.
Keep repeating this process. You will soon be going more often, perhaps every 30-45 minutes. You may notice that initially the amount you eliminate is about the same each time.
In time, sometimes after several hours, you will have a massive amount come out. It will keep coming out. The normal lenght of time we pee may be 20-35 seconds. At the longest, it may be 45 seconds. Do not be surprised if you go for a minute or more when this happens. This is what you are working for. This is when the diuresis effect of water will have done its job.
Go ahead, go to bed when night time comes. Tomorrow the edema should be gone.
To keep it off, make sure and start drinking your water. Always drink at least twice a day. If you can work up to it, drink 5-6 times a day, taking the salt on your tongue every time and letting it dissolve before drinking the water, according to Dr. B.
Please let us know how it worked for you. This is one of two home remedies for edema. If you have any problems, let us know and so we can continue to refine the protocol.

It is amazing how so many things that are new to us were common knowledge in the past. One basic practice of the Water Cures protocol is to drink at least 30-45 minutes before and 2 1/2 hours after a meal. This is not a new thought however. Notice what a magazine from 1925 had to say...
"Drink plenty of water two hours after each meal; drink none just before eating; and a small quantity if any at meal time. Do not take a bath until two hours after eating a meal, nor closer than one hour before eating. Drink a full glass of water both before and after the bath." (Golden Age, Sept. 9, 1925, pp. 784-785)

Listen to your body. Do not use this if you are under a doctors care. Do not stop taking medications without consulting your doctor. If you are on medications, consult your doctor if you start the Water Cures Protocol as it may change your needs.

Hi, my name is Sharon. The webmaster of this site is my nurse, my personal water coach and my husband.
As this site was first being built, I had a headache and as usual took an Ibuprofen. Impatient for it to start working, I decided to try the Water Cures. I took a pinch of salt and a glass of water. Then I took a second pinch of salt and another glass of water. My headache was gone in less than 5 minutes.
From my personal experience, it usually takes 30 to 45 minutes for Ibuprofen to work. Some have found it takes ibuprofen 24 minutes to start working.
Yet on the Water Cures protocol, my headache was gone in 5 minutes.
Its simple: give your body what it needs and your body will give you what you need, the ability to feel great.
Water Cures was the solution for the elimination of my headache. It is what I will use from now on.
Why not give it a try yourself.
