How would you answer, what is a headache? Most would say it is a pain in your head or upper neck. One of the great mysteries of the body, how is it we feel pain in our head when we have no pain receptors in our brain. Figuratively and literally, headache pain is all in your head.
At WaterCures.org, we have a not so typical view of what causes headaches. We also have a way or two you can provide relief. And we are sharing these with the world.
A headache is NOT in your head! Its in Your Dehydration
Headache pain can be a sign and symptom of diseases or conditions, some of which may be serious. Therefore there is no one simple answer. However, given the success people report to us on ending so many diseases with the Water Cures, we cannot help but think, well, actually know, hydration is part of the problem. Go to PubMed and search any disease we have helped. Type in the disease and add the word dehydration. You will find, often dozens, sometimes hundreds of studies showing a connection with dehydration. The many causes of headaches are no different.
The answer to what is a headache is quite complicated.
Note: Some forms of headaches are caused by life threatening conditions and emergency care is required. First go to Red Flag Signs and Symptoms to see if you need to leave here and speak to a doctor. They are the best person to determine your condition. Doctors try to determine cause and a treatment that works. Doctors are often focused on using drugs to treat diseases and conditions. At WaterCures.org we feel that in most cases, we are not chemically depleted and simply adding chemicals to our bodies will not totally eliminate headaches. Based on experience and anecdotal evidence, we have found headaches are the result of chronic dehydration and electrolyte imbalance.
Headaches are more than a pain in your head.
From the holistic nursing view point, a headache is not just the pain in your head. It could be many different things. Rather than repeating all the various theories you will find in medical books, here is what a headache is based on a holistic view of those suffering. This information is provided from holistic nurses and from information provided from hydration coaches.
Of the most common headaches treated.....Headaches are...
What is wrong is when we try to mask the pain with another pain medication. If rather than having a lack of chemicals in our body, if we correct the lack of fluid, we improve our health.
The lack of fluids in our bodies could be complicated by or caused by other circumstances.
So, basically, a headache is an inability for the body to maintain thermal regulation resulting in pain. Too many covers in bed at night could cause up to poorly regulate body temperature. Too many covers could cause a headache.
But wait, what about the other types of headaches? Does WaterCures help these. Well, there are over 200 kinds and yes, it will help many of them. We have found that it even helps when there is tumor activity causing headaches. WaterCures can help end headaches.
When answering the question, what is a headache, we hope that you can see one of the definitions is lack of water and electrolytes.

My name is Gene. I was suffering with migraine headaches for over a decade. I could not sleep more than 5 hours for the past 40 years. Finally, when I could take it no longer, I went to the doctor. It turned out I had a slow growth brain tumor.
When the water cures was first suggested, said, "I have tried everything. Im going to stick with what my doctors are telling me to do. I think they know best."
That was just about 1 year before trying the water cures. You see, the reason for trying the sea salt and water was that I no longer was listening to my doctors. They said there was nothing more they could do. I was not ready to die.
I was going blind and then I was told I had maybe 6 months or more. Oh, and I drank water, lots of it every day. But I did not use the salt.
Now, it is 6 months later. I have my sight back. I have my sleep (6-7 hours and more on weekends) and I have my life back.
The one side effect that I am noticing is that I am putting on a little more weight. A small price for being able to live.
(Note: This is 6 months from when Mr. Tini started the water cures in 2013)

It is amazing how so many things that are new to us were common knowledge in the past. One basic practice of the Water Cures protocol is to drink at least 30-45 minutes before and 2 1/2 hours after a meal. This is not a new thought however. Notice what a magazine from 1925 had to say...
"Drink plenty of water two hours after each meal; drink none just before eating; and a small quantity if any at meal time. Do not take a bath until two hours after eating a meal, nor closer than one hour before eating. Drink a full glass of water both before and after the bath." (Golden Age, Sept. 9, 1925, pp. 784-785)

Listen to your body. Do not use this if you are under a doctors care. Do not stop taking medications without consulting your doctor. If you are on medications, consult your doctor if you start the Water Cures Protocol as it may change your needs.

Hi, my name is Sharon. The webmaster of this site is my nurse, my personal water coach and my husband.
As this site was first being built, I had a headache and as usual took an Ibuprofen. Impatient for it to start working, I decided to try the Water Cures. I took a pinch of salt and a glass of water. Then I took a second pinch of salt and another glass of water. My headache was gone in less than 5 minutes.
From my personal experience, it usually takes 30 to 45 minutes for Ibuprofen to work. Some have found it takes ibuprofen 24 minutes to start working.
Yet on the Water Cures protocol, my headache was gone in 5 minutes.
Its simple: give your body what it needs and your body will give you what you need, the ability to feel great.
Water Cures was the solution for the elimination of my headache. It is what I will use from now on.
Why not give it a try yourself.
